The Amsterdam based Arionstichting ('Arion Foundation') is a non-profit organisation that has been organizing concerts and other events to do with guitar- and lute music, since 1995. We are especially interested in early music, new music, chamber music and experiments. Most events take place in the superb acoustic of the Amsterdam Vincentiuskerk.

A workshop on Fado music for classical guitar players, by guitarist Jeroen Becx. In October or November.
In the autumn of 2004 we will have (for the seond year) workshops on early Romantic guitar, led by guitarist Jelma van Amersfoort. These workshops are aimed at professional lute- and classical guitar players, and very experienced amateur players.
The workshops will take place in the 'Boomsspijker', Rechtboomssloot 52 in Amsterdam, close to Central Station.
Participation after admission by the teacher.
Participant will receive selected sheet music before the workshops.
There will be opportunities to play on several original 19th century guitars from the teacher's collection, but participants are required to bring their own classical or romantic guitar.
Pitch during the workshops will be A=435 Hz.
In the third workshop a professional singer will be present to sing with participants.
